Description
Well, these plants have since died after I gave up keeping them watered plus a trip, but it was nice while it lasted. Two different milkweeds, some lantana and pentas. The milkweed was nearly destroyed by monarch caterpillars almost every 2 months for the first year we had it up. Eventually I think the plants got tired of regrowing, but it was nice to have the caterpillars there all the time (all the monarch pictures in the gallery linked below are from this planter)
In new good news, one of the times the milkweed was allowed to seed (only happened like twice, usually the caterpillars ate the flowers), apparently resulted in a new plant. There is now a new milkweed growing next to the walk a little to the left of the planted in the photo
